Photography and Videography

Hi, my name is Kinsley Hunter. I currently attend Mississippi State University with a projected graduation of December 2026. I began my media journey in my freshman year of high school. I continued throughout high school, learning the various aspects of video production and photography. I was part of an advanced film class during my sophomore and junior years, where I made several types of films, with my most notable being a documentary about the effects of COVID-19 on the performing arts in 2020 through 2021, a music video for the band The Word Alive, and promotional videos for sports teams. I also worked on the weekly school news broadcast, where I discovered my love for sports media. From there, I began working for my school’s lacrosse team sophomore year and transitioned to working with the football, softball, and lacrosse teams junior year. As a senior, I did photography for the majority of my school’s sports as well as working as a social media intern for the Huntsville Havoc Hockey Team and my school’s softball team. I currently work in Mississippi State’s Athletic Communication department as a secondary point of contact under the sport information director for the Dimond Dawgs, Mississippi State’s Baseball Team. In this position, I conduct research projects on current and prospective students as well as Mississippi State coaches and coaches across the SEC for strategic communications as well as perform game day operations that include media credentialing, providing media personnel with stats from the games, scoreboard operation, and play by play data reporting. I am pursuing a degree in Broadcast Journalism in college and returning for a master’s in Sports Management. With this, I hope to work as a sports information director for a professional sports team or collegiate program.
